Mr. Edwin (Ed) D. Hill
As the writer of the Twistedway Blog, I was visiting you website, I found it to be well organized and limited to the issues of your union.
Then I went to the I.B.E.W. 357, web site, it is different, in fact it states:
“Declaration of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
"Our cause is the cause of human justice, human rights, human security. We refuse, and will always refuse, to condone or tolerate dictatorship or oppression of any kind.
We will find and expel from our midst any who might attempt to destroy, by subversion, all that we stand for.
This Brotherhood will continue to oppose communism, Nazism or any other subversive "ism". We will support our God, our Nations, our Union."
This is fine but in light of the locals, actions regarding the Tea Party Protesters on the 27th of March 2010.
The local seems to be studying Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals, whose book could be summarized as: The main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”
The Unions seem from my prospective to be doing the same things they accuse corporations of doing. By this I mean; the actions of the unions to support the health care law that give better deals to union members than the same deals offered to the general public, basically the unions appear to be willing to stick it to there neighbors in order to receive a better deal.
Please understand I have no issues with any union supporting there own political issues in there field, but the local 357 went over the line.
What are you planning on doing about this and how far is too far?
Thank you for your time.
Isaac A Bradley
